DEADWEIGHT DRIFTER
A downloadable game
This game was made in 48 hours for the 2021 GMTK game jam!
It is a collection of arcade style games utilizing orbital gravity and inertia based movement.
Try to get the highest score possible in each game mode! Maybe even share your scores in the comments and we can make a makeshift leaderboard.
KNOWN BUGS THAT CANNOT BE FIXED UNTIL COMPETITION ENDS:
1. Returning to menu with [ESC] takes about 10 seconds to work because of time dilation. This has been fixed in our local version.
2. Unreal Engine asking for firewall network permissions on first launch. This happens because we built with the "development build" preset rather than the "production build" preset. Development build asks for network permissions so that analytics can be monitored. This has since been removed from our version, and if you'd like to play without it you'll either just need to deny network privileges or wait until we are allowed to update the game (the end of GMTK 2021).
3. Various tweaks to gameplay to prevent "cheesing" gravity fields.
All bugs have been fixed in our internal version, but cannot be publicly updated until GTMK 2021 ends.

Install instructions
Extract the folder's contents, and launch the "GMTK_2021.exe"
The game may ask for firewall access, but just say no. This is because of how development builds in UE4 are configured.
